The counseling staff of BHS is composed of licensed and certified professionals who provide the following services:

Individualized Treatment Planning
DBT-Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Group
Referral to Residential and Inpatient Services
Women’s Empowerment Group
Substance Use Disorder Treatment
Love and Logic Parenting Group
Variety of Evidence Based Treatment Models: CBT, DBT, A-CRA, TREM, TF-CBT, AF-CBT, MI, and others
MAT-Medication Assisted Treatment: Suboxone and Vivitrol
Such applications are delivered through the following programs:
Community Based Treatment (CBT): focuses primarily on individual and group counseling related to a wide range of issues.
Insight: An educational group that teaches about the effects of alcohol and other drugs on the mind and body and encourages the development of healthy coping skills. This group is for persons that have a problem with use of substances and could be headed for addiction.
Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP): provides help for those with substance use problems.
New Outlooks Via Awareness (NOVA): An educational group designed for those who have abused alcohol and/or other substances but are not at the level of dependence.
School Counseling Program (SCP): provides counseling and education for children, adolescents, and their family members within the school setting and at BHS. Students who are struggling with personal issues, or who are demonstrating behavioral problems may be referred to SCP by:
- Guidance Counselors
- School Administration
- Other School Personnel
